Target Group:

The training is prepared for people with prior basic understanding of PV systems, solar resources, and basic electrical systems. They include energy system operators, installers, project developers, vocational instructors, O&M technicians, engineers.

About the course

This course is designed for the participants to understand the fundamentals of solar energy and its application in mini grids, learn design principles for efficient and reliable mini grid systems and to gain practical skills in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar mini grids.

Course Outline

  •  Systems design – manual design and design with software tools.
  • O&M of renewable energy systems.
  • Safety, health and environment.

Certification: National: CREEC and Micro Grid Academy (MGA) for now, DIT certification later.
